Subways are awesome. There are so many unanswered questions on the subway. The girl on the right- what is she texting? The girl stepping onto the train- where is she going? The red-haired lady on the left- is she dreaming of a boy she kissed in grade school? You could make up an entire story for each of these women, none of which would be true, but you could have fun guessing. What was I doing? I was visiting Toronto for the weekend, dining at C5 at the ROM, taking in a lecture at the AGO on Victorian photocollage, and breathing the electric air of the big city that I was born in.
