WRITING
Island stories published in RED: The Island Storybook, exhibition essays,
and a historical novel by Laurie Rayner Langford.
Her first novel, now complete, follows a district nurse through four decades of
the Island's silver fox boom, when a single breeding pair could sell for more than a
farm, and the Rayner family's fortune rose and fell with the market.
Claire Stewart nurses that family, keeps their secrets, and keeps a notebook.
More to come.
